My first impressions of this mini torch were excellent. It’s very well made, using what appear to be premium-quality materials. The finishing and detailing are genuinely impressive. It has a reassuring weight for such a small torch, which I always appreciate. The slim aesthetics, single rubberised backlit power/mode button and smooth satin-like finish all come together to make this a great little light. The power output is also impressive. It seems to punch well above its weight on high mode, especially considering how small the reflector is. The beam is a crisp white, and it offers three brightness levels. I was also pleased to see it has a memory function, so it remembers the last mode used. The USB-C charging port is a welcome feature, and the rubber stopper seems effective in protecting against water ingress. So, what’s not to like?Well, the product images show a sleek, minimalist design — and while that’s partly true, what they don’t show is the other side of the torch. That side has been plastered with permanent white icons, compliance stamps and other unhelpful markings. It looks more like a billboard than a torch. If this information really needed to be included, a removable sticker would have been a far better choice. All in all, it’s a well-made and powerful torch — but for me, it’s been defaced. The unnecessary, permanent silk-screened lettering on one highly visible side completely undermines the otherwise clean and minimalist design. Because of that, I’m knocking off a number of stars and won’t be recommending it.
